ECWA Foofd for the Day – 15th May, 2025
God has invested so much in us, His Word, grace, miracles, and mercy. Yet, like the towns Jesus rebuked, many remain unrepentant. Don’t waste the divine investment in your life. Live in response to His grace.

Even God’s faithful servants can face moments of doubt, like John the Baptist did. But Jesus reminds us that God’s promises remain true even when life doesn’t make sense. In our confusion, His Word is our anchor.
Jesus didn’t come to make us comfortable, He came to call us to full devotion. True discipleship means placing Christ above all, even family. Following Him may cost relationships, but it leads to eternal reward.
Jesus encourages His followers to boldly proclaim the gospel without fear, reminding them of their eternal reward and God’s constant care, even in the face of persecution.
Jesus warned His followers about persecution—even from close relatives and called them to stand firm with hope in His return, just as He too faced rejection.
Jesus sent out the twelve after empowering and instructing them, reminding them that the gospel mission requires trust, sacrifice, and readiness for opposition.
Jesus had compassion on the hopeless crowds and called for more workers to help bring in the harvest. Today, the need remains great, and God seeks available, faithful people to serve.
When questioned about fasting, Jesus explained that it must not be used to show off one’s spirituality. True fasting is a matter of the heart, not a display.
Even demons recognize the authority of Jesus Christ. In Matthew 8:28–33, two violent, demon-possessed men were delivered by Christ’s command. Do you carry His authority as a believer?
Jesus demonstrated His power over nature when He calmed the storm, reminding us that no situation is beyond His control.
