TOPIC: CHRIST EXPLAINS MISSION OF THE TWELVE
In today’s devotion, we need to recall the following things:
They had first been with Him.
They had learned from Him.
He also empowered them with authority.
Then, He outlined how to be a successful gospel proclaimer.
He started with the prohibitions: no gold, no silver, no wallet or purse.
He was preparing His disciples to face persecution in the process of evangelism and evangelization. Because of this training, the disciples stepped out in faith.
Jesus prepared the disciples just as he is preparing us for mission. He is training us ahead of the ugly experiences we are bound to encounter..
QUESTION
Do you actually know the purpose of your calling?
PRAYER
Oh Lord, help me to know the purpose of my calling as a believer in Christ. Amen.
