TEXT: COLOSSIANS 1:24–29
TOPIC: USING GRACE TO SERVE THE CHURCH
In today’s text, Paul expressed joy for being given the grace to know the mystery of salvation for the Gentiles, which God had planned.
Read Colossians 1:24–27 and note how Paul recounted his suffering for the gospel to the Gentiles.
Preaching the gospel often comes at a price but when one knows the One Who called and commissioned him, he will do it with joy.
Whatever we suffer for the sake of the Church should be viewed as a way of working for God’s kingdom which is also an act of grace.
This grace, which is given even when one is still a sinner, should be used in serving the Church of Christ (vs. 27–29).
QUESTION
What are you doing with the grace that God has given you so abundantly?
PRAYER
Dear Lord, make me utilize the grace You have given me for the work of the Kingdom, in Jesus’ name. Amen.
