TEXT: COLOSSIANS 2:1-5.
TOPIC: CONCERN FOR FELLOW BELIEVERS.
Mothers’ care for their biological children is often displayed through the way they respond to their children’s needs. They discipline the children out of love and a deep concern for their futures. It is this kind of love for the believers at colosse that Paul expressed in verses 1-3. The Apostle was concerned about the possibility of the Christians being deceived by wrong teachers if they did not know the extent of grace they have in Christ.
He then took time to teach them, just as he had done to the Laodicean believers. He was always concerned about the spiritual growth of the young believers. We are expected to do the same, even today.

How deep is your concern for the growth of young believers in Christ?

Grant me, dear Lord, the grace to love and have deep concern for fellow believers, in Jesus’ name. Amen!
