TEXT: MATTHEW 7:7-12
TOPIC: PERSIST IN PRAYER
In today’s text, Jesus emphasised the need for us to persist in praying and pursuing the will of God because we shall be rewarded (vs. 7-8). This is because God is a good and faithful God.
And just as fathers can’t give their children stones in place of bread or snakes instead of fish, God will not do anything to hurt His own children (vs. 9-10).
Even though sometimes in asking from God we ask for a snake, He is still a loving Father who would give us what is good for us (vs. 9-10).
God is neither selfish nor stingy, so we should never give up praying. We should persist and work with God.
QUESTION
Are you at the point of giving up because of the challenges you are facing?
PRAYER
Almighty God, help me to persist and remain focused on You as I walk with You, in Jesus’ name. Amen.
