“Show me your friends and I will know who you are,” “By their fruits you shall know them,” and “Birds of the same feather flock together” — these are popular sayings that express easy identification of people by their characters and the company they keep.
Paul made the believers know that they could not continue live as they were doing before they gave their lives to Christ. There must be a clear difference between now and before.
The new Christian life must reflect God’s character of true righteousness and holiness, putting off falsehood and always speaking the truth.
In our anger, we shouldn’t allow sin by not giving the devil a foothold in our hearts (vs. 19-26).
We must carefully note the true character of the new life in Christ as we relate to others.
QUESTION
What type of life have you been living since you professed faith in Jesus Christ?
PRAYER
Let my life reflect the character of Christ to draw others to him, in Jesus’ name. Amen.
