TEXT: EPHESIANS 5:1-14
TOPIC: CALL TO A LIFE OF HOLINESS
Christ, being the example of the personality men ought to follow, and as Paul (the link that bridged the Ephesian Christians), was bold to charge them to be imitators of God and live a life of love as Christ did.
He also charged the believers in Corinth to follow his example because he, Paul, was following the example of Christ.
If they couldn’t see Christ physically, they could at least see Apostle Paul and how he was living his life (1 Corinthians 11:1-2).
A call to a life of holiness is a call to live by the Word of God as given to us in the Bible.
Holiness is the nature and character of the Kingdom of God as analyzed partly from verses 5-13. Those who desire to be with Christ must be guided by them.
QUESTION
Have I heeded the call to live a life of holiness?
PRAYER
Help me, dear Lord, to live a life of holiness that would serve as a model for others to follow, in Jesus’ name. Amen.
