TOPIC: CHRIST’S POWER OVER LEPROSY
In Jesus’ days, anyone infected with leprosy could not come into the open or a public place. But in this passage, a man with leprosy met Jesus, what a rare opportunity.
The man knelt before Christ with a simple request. “If you are willing, you can make me clean” (vs. 2b). Jesus’ answer showed that He was willing to preach and work.
The ministry and miraculous work of healing continues till today. Because the man’s utterance was a distinction advance of faith, he was healed completely. Even though Jesus advised him to tell no one, He knew that the news would reach the authorities.
The Man’s testimony about his new state of health further emphasised the work and ministry of Christ.
QUESTION
Do you believe that Christ can still heal you from both physical and spiritual diseases that are worse than leprosy?
PRAYER
Heal me, Oh Lord, to serve as a testimony to those who do not believe that, even today, You still perform miracles, in Jesus’ name. Amen!
