TEXT: EPHESIANS 6:1-9
TOPIC: INDIVIDUALS’ DUTIES UNTO GOD
Today’s devotional opens our minds to the fact that every individual has responsibilities unto God, whether as a child, parent, servant, or master; each is called to serve as if serving Christ.
Children are enjoined to obey their parents because it is right and a commandment from God with a divine promise (Ephesians 6:1-3; Colossians 3:20).
Parents should not provoke their children but bring them up in the training and instruction of the Lord (Ephesians 6:4).
Wholehearted service is essential, knowing that the Lord will reward everyone for whatever good they do, whether slave or free.
QUESTION
Have you been carrying out your duty in the space you
occupy with an eye for service to humanity?
PRAYER
Let my service, wherever I am placed, be as unto serving God, dear Lord, in Jesus’ name. Amen.
