TEXT: EPHESIANS 2:1-10
DEAD IN SIN BUT ALIVE IN CHRIST
Before man’s conversion, he walked according to the world system and the prince of the power of the air, which works in the children of disobedience.
Anyone who walks in disobedience to God’s word is, by nature, a child of wrath, fulfilling the desires of the flesh. But God’s mercy was manifested by His death on Calvary (John 3:16).
Paul emphasises this truth to the Roman believers: “But God demonstrated His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us” (Romans 5:8).
The abundant life given to believers is for good works, which God has ordained.
QUESTION
Are you alive in Christ or dead in sin?
PRAYER
Father, deliver me from a life of consistent sin and let Your grace avail for me, in Jesus’ name. Amen.
