TEXT: GENESIS 22:1-14
TOPIC: BENEFIT OF OBEDIENCE
Abraham, the father of all faith, related with God so well that he never took His words lightly.
God knew how dear Isaac was to Abraham, yet, He asked him to offer the boy to Him. Abraham responded promptly.
Ordinarily, Abraham would have been expected to share God’s request to him with his wife. However, he chose to take off with just two of his servants and Isaac.
Arriving at Moriah, Abraham picked all that was needed to accomplish God’s request and proceeded with only Isaac.
The benefit of not doubting God brought fulfilment to both God and Abraham (vs.12-13).
QUESTION
In what way does God need your obedience today?
PRAYER
Dear Lord, teach me to obey You the way Abraham did. Amen.
