TEXT: Heb 13:17, 1 Thessalonians 5:12-13.

Kindly reflect on the above passage as we pray.
Begin by thanking God for life and good health.

  1. Thanksgiving for Pastors.
    Father, we thank You for the shepherds You have placed over us, who feed us with knowledge and understanding.
  2. Strength and Grace for Pastors.
    Lord, strengthen our pastors with divine wisdom, courage, and endurance to fulfil their heavy mandate without weariness.
  3. Protection from Discouragement and Opposition.
    Father, shield our pastors from criticism, gossip, resistance, and every plot of the enemy. Surround them with loyal helpers like Aaron and Hur, who supported Moses.
  4. Provision for Every Need.
    Jehovah Jireh, provide abundantly for our pastors’ spiritual, emotional, material, and financial needs so they will not lack in ministry (Philippians 4:16–17; Galatians 6:6).
  5. Unity and Obedience of the Church.
    Lord, help us as members to obey, encourage, and honour our pastors so that their work will be joyful, fruitful, and Christ-glorifying.
  6. Healing and Restoration for the Sick.
    Father, stretch forth Your healing hand upon the sick among us; restore them to full health in body, soul, and spirit.
  7. Comfort for the Bereaved & Journey Mercies.
    Lord, comfort all grieving families, especially the family of the late Mrs. Esther Bonnat. Grant them peace, strength, and safe travels for the burial on Wednesday, 3rd September 2025.
  8. Personal & Family Revival After the 2025 Program.
    Father, thank You for the success of the 2025 revival program. Let the fire of revival continue to burn in us individually and in our families, that we may remain steadfast in faith and service (Habakkuk 3:2; Psalm 85:6).

Let’s sing this hymn

Giving thanks to God for the gifts of faithful pastors.

SS&S 23

Verse 1

To God be the glory! great things
He hath done :
So loved He the world that He gave us His Son ;
Who yielded His life an atonement for sin,
And opened the Life-gate that all may go in.

Chorus

Praise the Lord ! praise the Lord !
Let the earth hear His voice !
Praise the Lord ! praise the Lord !
Let the people rejoice !
Oh, come to the Father, through Jesus the Son ;
And give Him the glory
great things He hath done!

Verse 2

O perfect redemption, the purchase of blood,
To every believe the promise of God;
The vilest offender who truly believes,
That moment from Jesus a pardon receives.

Verse 3

Great things He hath taught us, great
things He hath done,
And great our rejoicing through Jesus the Son;
But purer, and higher,and greater will be
Our wonder, our transport, when Jesus we see.
