TEXT: NEHEMIAH 12:27-43
TOPIC: THE DAY OF REJOICING
Life has its ups and downs. The word of the Lord, through the psalmist, says that weeping may endure for a night, but joy comes in the morning (Psalm 30:5).
You need to know that God has worked out a day, month, year and season for your rejoicing to come to pass.
The children of Israel went through hard times and disgrace; their gates were burnt down, and they became vulnerable to wild animals and terrorists of that time. (Nehemiah 1:3).
However, a day came when the broken walls were rebuilt and dedicated to the glory of God.
You may be down today or going through many troubles. But there is good news for you: that same God that did it for Israel will do it for you if you hold on to Him.
QUESTION
Are you so overwhelmed by troubles, pains, disgrace, and humiliation that tears have become your food?
PRAYER
O God, let my day of rejoicing come, where my problems and disgrace would be over. Help me to trust in You till You shine Your face on me, in Jesus’ name. Amen.
