TEXT: NEHEMIAH 4:1-14
TOPIC: FAITH IN THE MIDST OF OPPOSITION
The adage: ‘No pain, no gain’, stands out in today’s text.
Sanballat and Tobiah had demoralizing words. But Nehemiah prayed for God to take over the battle and deal with their opponents while the building continued.
When the opposition peaked, Nehemiah encouraged the people not to be afraid but look up to the Lord as they fight for the sake of the younger ones.
Today’s reader needs to reflect on the happenings around us and be deliberate in taking decisions that will have a positive impact on future generations.
