Nicodemus said, “We know…”, a subtle admission that even the learned leaders recognized the divine hand in Jesus’ ministry. Yet, knowledge alone isn’t salvation. Many today, like Nicodemus, know about God but lack a personal relationship with Him.
Many justify drinking alcohol by saying, “Jesus turned water into wine.” But the wine Jesus made at Cana was fresh, unfermented grape juice, called “new wine” in Scripture, not intoxicating alcohol. God cannot contradict Himself by blessing what He forbids.
When Philip met Jesus, he didn’t keep it to himself, he found Nathanael. Though skeptical at first, Nathanael became a believer after encountering Christ. Many “Nathanael’s” are still waiting, will you go after yours?
John the Baptist had every opportunity to seize fame, yet he humbled himself and pointed everyone to Jesus. True Christian service means being the voice, not the focus.
Wickedness often hides behind polite smiles and cordial greetings. The Psalmist warns against deceptive hearts and asks God not to lump him with the wicked. Let your heart be as clean as your words.
Despite being surrounded by enemies, David longed for only one thing, God’s presence. He knew that true safety and peace are found where God dwells. Make God’s presence your one desire.
David boldly invited God to examine his heart because he lived by clear godly values. He avoided the company of evildoers and stood firm on righteous ground. Can you do the same today?
