“Do not commit adultery” is the seventh of the 10 commandments that attracted death by stoning based on the Mosaic Law.
The Pharisees and the teachers of the Law caught a woman in the very act of committing adultery.
They are not concerned about the spiritual life of this woman and what adultery does to one’s family.
The Pharisees and teachers of the Law paraded this woman while pretending to be champions or guardians of God’s Holy Laws. But Jesus knew that they left out the adulterer and brought the adulteress as a specimen to trap Him.
In Africa, corrupt politicians, auditors, EFCC, etc, are the ones condemning those who are caught stealing chickens and goats while they themselves are the biggest thieves.
QUESTION
Before you condemn someone for stealing, adultery or any fraudulent activities, do you look at yourself in the mirror?
PRAYER
Please Lord, deliver me from hypocrisy, in Jesus’ name. Amen.
