Scientists, especially astronomers or astrophysicists, are fascinated and enamoured by the study of celestial bodies, other planets, stars, moons, comets, satellites and asteroids.
In Psalm 19, David is fascinated by the maker of all the heavenly bodies.
Theology is concerned with the Creator, while science is concerned with the creation. But whatever branch of the sciences you belong to, declares the glory of God.
The existence of the universe is proof that God exists.
Emmanuel Kant listed three arguments for the existence of God, one of which is the cosmological argument, which is the belief that God exists because people can perceive the existence of the universe.
The Apostle Paul also argued that God has clearly revealed Himself through creation (Romans 1:19-20).
He argued that what may be known about God is plain to everyone. “For since the creation of the world God’s invisible qualities… have been clearly seen, being understood from what had been, so that people are without excuse.”
That is why even our parents who lived before the coming of the gospel knew that God exists.
QUESTION
Do you still doubt the existence of God even when you look at the skies and mountains?
PRAYER
Forgive my unbelief and ignorance, dear Lord, in Jesus’ name. Amen
